Alaska is set up as a Belgian economic interest grouping (eig). The company is run by a managing director (day-to-day management, Johan Lemmens) and a board of directors (Eddy Loufs, Stefaan Kindt and Serge Mesotten). One of the duties of the board of directors is to set up a number of internal steering committees and study groups. The general meeting consists of members of the interest grouping.
